Over the past nine years, I've been fortunate enough to be a 'call in case of emergency' writer for ESPN and The Vault.
The assignments usually (but not always) come on the eve of a production where all involved feel that the sold-in concept needs a comedic punch up and/or multiple options that won’t interfere with a very tight budget and shooting schedule.
I love getting those calls.
Challenges are what this gig is all about. Here are a few of my favorites.
